Cayenne large thick
These are the large cayenne peppers.
They start green then turn bright red. These are the big ones, thick
and wrinkly. Can be used for ristras (the dried pepper strings) if
picked fully red and you have dry enough conditions. Fairly early
producer. Did very well in 2002 with our hot dry summer and drip
irrigation. Large plant, about a 7.5 heat on the 1-10 scale.
