Lettuce
I'm sorry but the lettuce seed page has been taken down til I get fresher seed.
These
are all great varieties of lettuce that I grow all season. Most of them
are quite heat tolerant before bolting.
Keeping them well watered helps to keep them growing longer. Drip is
better than sprinkling overhead to prevent disease. None of these are
the plain "iceberg" type. Several are leaf types. Several are Boston or
Bibb type. There are some Romaines and both red and green Batavian
Crispheads. Batavian is kind of like a cross between iceberg and
Romain. Crunchy and flavorful. All are better tasting than iceberg.
The mix is a blend of all of the varieties. I mix about a
tablespoon of each in a baggie each season for my own planting. While I
shake it well to mix, there is always the chance that your pack of mix
could have more of 1 variety and less or none of another. It would be
hard to make a new mix for each packet.
They are all
$2.25 per packet.
Packs are weighed to 1/2 gm.
