Heirloom dark pink beefsteak type. Very sweet and can be quite large. Indeterminate, potato leaf plants, can be rather late in cool years. If there are rains when fruit is ripening, it is recommended that you pick them ½ ripe, as they tend to crack otherwise. Huge thick healthy vines, large rose-pink irregularly shaped fruit, up to 2 lbs., famous incredibly rich, complex, sweet flavor. The Sudduth strain is  considered by many to be the best and original Brandywine strain,

The Sudduth strain is by far more productive for me than the un-named varieties.
